Lutrex avoided the blasts that were fired at him constantly. They came not only from above but from below. There were so many guards firing at him he could not manage to avoid all of them. Shots began to clipp his front right and back tail-wings. Instantly Lutrex activated his energy field and sped forward down the right pathway.

Suddenly three guards in formation came swooping down on him from ahead, apparently flyers like himself... Their shots rang off his barrier as they swooped by. once seeing that their attack was ineffective they banked and flew back around following him. Lutrex systems picked up on a weapons lock and he quickly went into a dive knowing full well what was coming. Two streaks shot down after him, seeking misses were on his tail.

They were no doubt homed in on his energy signature. Even with his barrier it would be better to avoid being hit by one of those. His energy may protect him from being blown apart but the shock wave would most likely ground him from the violent vibration, leaving him vulnerable to be captured by the guards below. This was bad, but was also a good sign. If flyers were headed his way there had to be an launch pad somewhere up ahead along with an exit for aircraft.

Lutrex continued on his decent only pulling up at the last minute. One of the missiles succumbed to the move, ramming into the ground and exploding into some of the ground forces. However the other managed to maneuver up in time to continue on its course. "Slag'n smart missiles... have to learn from each other..." Lutrex muttered flying past and weaving between the ground forces Lutrex continued to evade. The guards below moved out of the way as he zoomed by but most were not fast enough and were blown back by his after-burn followed by the rocketing missile.

Lutrex continued to evade the missile until an unlucky guard was not fast enough to get out of the missiles way and it erupted in a flurry of fire engulfing another section of guards and sending rubble flying. Lutrex was not much luckier and had not yet cleared the blast range. Rubble pounded against his barrier and he was thrown even faster forward out of control due to the shock-wave. He was sent crashing into the ground sliding and finally stopping when he crashed into several guards.

"uhg that... coulda been worse..." Lutrex transformed and pushed a stunned guard off of him and stood up holding his head. As he stood up he noticed a light up ahead. Zooming in he found it to be the exit he was searching for. Just then the flyers came swooping down once again only this time instead of releasing a barrage of missiles two wires shout out warping around his midsection and his right arm.

Before he could react he was yanked off the ground violently into the air. He struggled to get free as the two jets flew even with each other but began to spread apart pulling him in two directions. He could feel the whine of his gears and servos as the pressure began to pull his arm out of its socket. "Arrggaa!" thinking fast he swiveled the mounted rifle on his captured arm and fired at the jet to his left side.

The jet evaded the blast at first causing Lutrex to yelp in more pain as is arm was yanked again. Eventually he made his mark and the jet guard released his arm falling as he had hit his navigation systems and crashed into the wall. Once his arm was released he activated his sword and cut through the last wire sending the other jet off balance. He transformed and flew straight for the exit.

Lutrex optics widened in shock as he watched the chief with the detonator. hes crazy he thought but before he could react his hand and HEAD had hit the ground. he sighed in some relief when he turned to Cirrus. "good timing..." he deactivated his sword before turning then replied. "I perfer not to kill, IF there is another way... but sadly it seems you are right... there was none in this situation... lets go." Lutrex replied solemnly before transforming and taking to the air once again.
